Home / Services / Reddit branded community

The owned channel AI treats as neutral ground.

A space you moderate that models still read as third-party. Done well it's a citable source, a support desk, and the first result for your name.

Not the first move. Most brands should run organic marketing first. A room nobody enters cites nothing.

One room, three returns.

The only asset here that pays back in citations, support cost and product insight at once.

It's citable in a way your site isn't

Models discount your marketing pages and read community threads as evidence, even when the room carries your name, because the voices in it don't.

→ a source, not a claim

It answers while you sleep

Every question resolved in public is one a future customer finds without opening a ticket, and one a model can quote when asked how you handle problems.

→ support that compounds

It owns your own name

Search your brand plus “reddit” and see what comes up. A community you moderate outranks whatever is there now.

→ the first result for you

Built, seeded, moderated, then handed over.

Launching a subreddit takes an afternoon. Keeping it from becoming a ghost town is the job, and most of it happens before anyone is invited.

  • Set-up and identityNaming, rules, flair, wiki, automod and a moderation policy that survives contact with real users.
  • SeedingNinety days of content (release notes, AMAs, teardowns) so arrivals find a room that's already alive.
  • ModerationDaily, by people who know your product. Complaints get answered in public, which is the entire point.
  • Migration of goodwillThe conversations trapped in your inbox, Discord and support tickets, moved somewhere a model can read them.
  • AMA productionQuarterly, with your engineers rather than your comms team. The ones that land are about something that went wrong.
  • HandoverIf you'd rather run it yourself, we train your team and step back. Most clients do this by month nine.

This only works if you can take criticism in public. If a one-star post triggers a legal review, do organic first. We'll say so.

Should you have one at all?

Half the companies who ask us for one shouldn't have it yet. Here's the test.

Build one if

  • 01You have a few thousand active users who already talk to each other somewhere.
  • 02Support volume is high enough that answering in public saves real money.
  • 03Someone technical is allowed to post without a comms review.
  • 04You can leave a one-star post standing and reply to it.

Wait if

  • 01Your user base is small enough that the room would read as empty.
  • 02Every public statement needs three approvals.
  • 03You'd want the power to delete criticism. You'd use it, and it would leak.
  • 04Nobody internally can commit to being present in it weekly.

If you're in the right-hand column, organic marketing does more for you right now, at half the cost.

Design, seed, moderate, hand over.

Roughly nine months from empty to self-sustaining, if the users are there to gather.

Design

Name, rules, flair, automod and a moderation policy written before launch, including exactly what you won't remove.

Seed

Ninety days of real content and invited early members, so the first stranger finds a conversation rather than an empty room.

Moderate

Daily presence, public answers, quarterly AMAs, and cover for the week something goes badly wrong.

Hand over

We train your team, document the playbook and step back. The community should outlast the engagement.

Indicative, not a rate card.

It costs more than organic because it's staffed, not campaigned. Daily moderation by people who understand your product is most of it.

Branded community

Full set-up, 90-day seeding, daily moderation and escalation cover, quarterly AMAs, handover training when you want it.

The branded subreddit felt risky at first. A few months in, it's our best-performing citation source by a distance.

Marta OliveiraHead of Community, Norra Home

We ran an AMA the week after an outage. It's now the thing people quote about us. The outage, not the recovery, and somehow that helps.

Tomasz WierzbickiHead of Product, marketplace

They told us to wait six months and do organic instead. We did. When we finally launched the community it filled in three weeks.

Before you commit.

It will, for the first month, and that's the useful part. The complaints already exist in private inboxes where no model can see them resolved. A room where problems get visibly fixed reads better than one where nothing goes wrong.

You can, and we'll advise against it. Removals get screenshotted and reposted with more reach. We remove exactly what Reddit's rules require, nothing else, and publish that policy on day one.

Neither is readable by a model. Discord is invisible to crawlers; a self-hosted forum reads as your marketing. Reddit is indexed, licensed to AI companies and seen as independent. Discord for real-time, Reddit for the record.

You do, entirely. Moderator accounts are yours from day one and we're added alongside them, not instead. A community we could walk off with wouldn't be worth building.

Three to four months if you have a user base to invite, much longer if you don't, which is the main reason we turn this engagement down.

Find out what AI is telling your buyers.

It starts with a visibility audit: €1,499, delivered in a week. What the major models say about you, about your two closest competitors, and the shortest route to changing it.

Figures marked 1–4 come from published research and platform reporting; studies measure different things, so read them as direction rather than a scoreboard. We work strictly within each platform's rules: we don't buy reviews, run fake accounts, or edit Wikipedia with undisclosed conflicts of interest.
